The hotel’s journey began when a local baker had a bold idea to open a café and inn in Sæbø. With over two hundred-year-old timber walls from old houses in Valdres and a school oven as part of the building’s history, Bondalselva Strandhotell became a reality. Despite challenges such as limited permission to serve alcohol and a market with limited competition, the hotel flourished and became a popular destination for boaters, camping enthusiasts, and salmon fishermen.

The hotel boasts 35 cozy rooms spread across two floors inside the main building and outside in the courtyard in small houses. Each room has its own character. You’ll sleep in comfortable beds while nature thrives outside. The tranquility of the place ensures a good night’s sleep and dreams of returning.

Guest harbour

Guest harbor with space for up to 35 boats.

Access to water, electricity and internet is included. Diesel is supplied by agreement with the hotel reception. The first-come, first-served principle applies here.

Our hotel has 35 cozy rooms spread over two floors inside the hotel and outside in the yard in detached houses. All the rooms have their own character. You sleep in good beds, while nature lives outside. The silence of the place gives you a good night’s sleep and the dream of coming back.
